DECISION PATHWAY FOR TESTOSTERONE REPLACEMENT.

The first step to determining whether or not Testosterone Replacement Therapy is right for a patient is answering the questionaire for Androgen Deficiency in the Aging Male ("ADAM Questionare").  If symptoms exist, the next step is to measure the blood level of testosterone.  Because testosterone is found in several forms in the blood, there is debate as to what test is best to diagnose testosterone deficiency. In general,
Dr. CAREing will test both free- and total-testosterone from a blood sample drawn from the patient having symptoms of Low-T according to the ADAM Questionare.

Below is a flowchart for dates and costs for the Dr. CAREing Testosterone Replacement Therapy ("TRT").

STEP 1 -  Take the free ADAM Questionair (Click-the button on right to take the ADAM Questionaire).

STEP 2 - When the ADAM indicates that the symptoms for Low Testosterone are present, the next step is to determine what the level of total-testosterone and free testosterone is in the blood.  This test can be paid for using insurance or a cash-pay price of $50.

STEP 3 - Testosterone levels in a person's body must be optimized because everyone is different.  More specifically, the first TWO treatments will be administered in the clinic's office at 7 day intervals, followed by a blood draw 4 days after each injection.  If all levels appear to be normal, the patient will be given a 10 week prescription of testosterone.  On or around four days after the 10th injection from the testosterone prescription, the patient will come to the office for another blood test.  If all is well, the patient will be given another 10 week prescription and subsequent blood tests for the cost of $199.
